Camp Yeibichai

Nestled in the majestic mountains near Flagstaff, Camp Yeibichai (or Camp Y) is a sanctuary for Arizona Rainbow Girls, offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Open from late Spring to early Fall, Camp Y is a beloved retreat where cherished events like Founder’s Day, Grand Officer’s Retreats, and Summer Camps take place. Unplug from technology—there’s no cell service or Wi-Fi here—and reconnect with nature and your Rainbow Sisters in this peaceful, inspiring setting.

The camp’s legacy began in 1973, when Grand Worthy Advisor Carolyn York initiated the Camp Fund as her special project. Through the generous contributions of 52 assemblies and ten individuals or groups, over $3,341 was raised during the first year. Carolyn’s own Assembly, Douglas #4, contributed $500 by selling Tamales and Beans at the County Fair, an annual project that continued to support the camp for years.

On April 30, 1977, the dream of owning a camp became a reality, and by the summer of 1980, the first two cabins were under construction. Since then, Camp Yeibichai has grown into a symbol of the Arizona Rainbow family’s dedication, with milestones like the first Leadership Training Camp in 1981 and over $114,000 raised in the first decade alone. Today, Camp Y stands as a debt-free, 30-acre retreat where generations of Rainbow Girls have created lasting memories.
